The Central Red Devils baseball team scored two runs in the first and two more in the third inning on Monday afternoon. That was enough for Gage Poulin. The Red Devils ace and the Eastern Maine Sports athlete of the month for April allowed only five hits and struck out seven in a complete game effort to lift the Red Devils to a 4-2 win over Bucksport
James Doucette recorded two hits and two RBI while Austin Morency also had two hits. Central (3-4) has now won two straight. They defeated class B power Hermon on Friday. The next two games for Central will be against Dexter. They will host the Tigers on Wednesday and travel to Dexter on Friday. Eastern Maine Sports will have live audio of the Friday contest starting at 4:25 PM.
