Hermon baseball rallies in 7th to defeat Oceanside

Hermon scored four runs in the top of the 7th inning on three Oceanside errors to claim a 6-5 win at Morrill Field in Rockland on Thursday afternoon. Run scoring singles by Keith Pomeroy and Adam Rush and a sacrifice fly by Kevin Johnson gave the Hawks the win. Rush also homered for Hermon, while Jacques Lebonte pitched a complete game, striking out eight and walking three.

Titus Kaewthong had three hits and 3 RBI for Oceanside including a two run homer in the bottom of the 7th to make it a one run game. Logan Sheridan’s RBI double gave Oceanside a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 6th.  Sheridan also went the distance on the hill for Oceanside striking out three and walking just one.
