The Ellsworth Eagles baseball team rallied for three runs in the seventh inning and got a strong pitching performances from Matt Burnett to grab a big 4-2 win at Brewer on Thursday night.
The Witches held a 2-1 lead going to the seventh inning. The Eagles scores three runs and Burnett took care of the rest, retiring the side in order in the bottom half of the seventh inning.
Burnett allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk. He struck out eight. Burnett also had two hits and two RBI. Jack Lee and Sam Horne added two hits each for the Eagles.
Josiah Cyr allowed four runs on six hits and five walks, while striking or four in 6.1 innings for the Witches. Cyr has two hits and two RBI
