LeBlanc shuts down Red Sox

Wade LeBlanc allowed only two hits in 7.2 innings to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 1-0 win over the Boston Red Sox on Saturday night at Safeco Field.

Edwin Diaz struck out the side in the ninth inning to earn his 27th save of the season. Mookie Betts and Eduardo Nunez had the hits for the Red Sox.

Steven Wright pitched very well again for the Red Sox. He allowed one run on five hits and two walks, while striking out four in seven innings.

Eduardo Rodriguez will be on the mound on Sunday afternoon as the Red Sox try and get the road split in the four game series.
