Rafael Devers smacked a three run homer to cap a five run third inning and help the Boston Red Sox roll to a 9-3 win at Seattle on Sunday afternoon.
Eduardo Rodriguez (9-1) pitched six strong innings. He allowed two runs on six hits and one walk, while striking out nine. The Red Sox are now 13-1 in games Rodriguez has started.
Andrew Benintendi powered the offense with three hits, two runs scored, and one RBI. Xander Bogaerts and Jackie Bradley JR each hit a homer. Bogaerts, Devers, and Mitch Moreland had two hits each.
The Red Sox split the four game series at Seattle and are now 5-2 on the 10 game road trip. They will start a three game series at Minnesota on Tuesday night with Chris Sale scheduled to pitch.
