McKenna Smith from Old Town high school is one of the seven finalists for the Miss Maine softball award. Smith earned her second straight PVC Class B pitcher and player of the year. On Tuesday afternoon, Smith was named Eastern Maine Sports 2018 softball player of the year.
Smith received 22% of the 3376 votes. Halle Pelletier (Greenville) finished a close second, while Lanie Perry (Narraguagus) rounded out the top three. Below are the full voting results for 2018 softball player of the year.
