Avery Herrick scored two goals to lead the Dexter Tigers girls soccer team to a 4-0 win over George Stevens on Friday afternoon at Dexter.
Herrick scored the lone goal of the first half. She gave the Tigers a two goal advantage early in the second half off an assist from Peyton Grant. Danielle Cummings and Hannah Dorman added goals. Dorman and Cloe Mountain each had one assist.
Bess McArthur made 18 saves for the Eagles.George Stevens (0-1) will play their home opener against Bucksport on Tuesday. Addy Herrick made four saves on seven shots for the Tigers. Dexter (1-0) will host Penquis on Tuesday.
