Eduardo Rodriguez did not skip a beat in his return from the DL as he mowed down 12 hitters and allowed only one run en route to a game three win against the White Sox 6-1.
The game started with four scoreless innings from both teams led by Rodriguez who had nine strikeouts through four innings before the Sox bats came alive.
The scoring started in the 5th inning when Eduardo Nunez hit a solo home run to give the Red Sox a 1-0, Jackie Bradley Jr. would follow that up later in the inning with a solo shot of his own to give the team a 2-0 lead going to the sixth.
Rodriguez who cruised through the first five innings would give up a run before his night ended.
The bullpen would come out strong as Ryan Brasier pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.
Sox would tag on three more runs in the 7th to make the score 5-1. Ian Kinsler would put the nail in the coffin as he would hit his first homer as a Red Sox.
