At Woodland, Drew Hayward tallied four goals to pace the Woodland Dragons boys soccer team to a 10-2 win over Shead on Tuesday afternoon in the season opener for both teams.
Sabre Phelps recorded a hat trick and an assist for the powerful Woodland offense. Luke McDonald scored off a penalty kick. Austin Murphy and Dylan Thompson pitched in a goal each. Murphy and Kaiden Spinney added one assist each for the Dragons.
Damian Lank and Austin Ashby scored for Shead. Woodland keeper Alex Morrison made eight saves on 14 shots. Shead keeper CJ Francis made 14 saves on 31 shots.
