The Houlton girls soccer team scored three first half goals en route to a 3-0 victory over the George Stevens Academy Eagles at Houlton on Saturday afternoon. Samantha Johnson got the Shires on board in the first minute of the game when she scored off a Jamie Brown assist. Brown then added a goal of her own off an assist from Rebecca Howe to put the Shires up 2-0. Bre Barton smashed a direct kick past Eagles keeper, Bess MacArthur for the third and final goal of the match.
Houlton’s Tessa Solomon recorded 4 saves on 6 shots. MacArthur recorded 10 saves on 15 Shires shots. Houlton is now 6-0. GSA is 2-4-1.
