Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. This week, we had 11 Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Riley Geyer accounted for five touchdowns and 387 yards in leading Cony football to a win over Lawrence. It is the second athlete of the week honor for the sophomore quarterback.
Roadrunner Taxi male athlete of the week
- Riley Geyer- Cony- football- threw for 241 yards and four touchdowns on 14-20 passing and also rushed for another 146 yards and one touchdown in 37-20 win over Lawrence.
Runner up
- Garrett Trask- Hermon- football- threw for 183 yards and two touchdowns on 13-23 passing also rushed for 29 yards and a touchdown on 13 rushes.

- Jaron Gentle- Houlton- soccer- had four goals and one assist in 14-0 win over Mattanawcook. Had two assists in 2-1 win over George Stevens.
- Keegan Gentle- Houlton- scored – had three goals and one assist in 14-0 win over Mattanawcook.

- Tucker Sharples- MCI- football- had 103 yards and two touchdowns on 18 rushes.
- Keith Pomeroy- Hermon- football- had 83 yards and one touchdown on seven receptions.
