Husson running back Miece Loureiro ran for 157 yards and quarterback Cory Brandon threw for three touchdowns Friday night, as the Eagles pounded Dean College 48-16 at the Winkin Complex in ECFC Division III football action.
Husson (3-2, 2-0 ECFC) scored all their points in the first half. Brandon threw a pair of touchdown passes to Kyle Gaudet and one to Ty Bassett. The Eagles other scores came on two defensive touchdowns on two fumble recoveries, one of 30 yards by Ace Curry and the other of 45 yards by Matthew Montford. They also got a short touchdown run by Solomon Hassen and a punt return score from Tyreek Bromley. Brandon was 12-18 for 175 yards, and Lourerios 157 yards came on 25 carries. Gaudet had a total of six catches for 120 yards. Elvin Suazo led the defense with seven total tackles and 1.5 sacks. Tarik Smith had six total with 2.0 sacks.
Dean (2-4, 1-1) used two quarterbacks on the night. Terrell Watts was 5-14, 132 yards, and a touchdown. Backup Quintus Reed went 3-7, 99 yards, and a touchdown for the visiting Bulldogs. Receiver Errol Breaux was the biggest offensive performer of the game, catching six passes for 229 yards and a pair of touchdowns of 84 and 99 yards. London Chambers had 13 total tackles.
Husson continues with conference play next Saturday on the road when they travel to Alfred State with a 12 noon kickoff.
