David Price picked the perfect time to turn in his best postseason outing. Price pitched six shutout innings to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 4-1 win over the Houston Astros to clinch the American League Championship.
Price dominated from pitch one in game five of the ALCS. Price allowed three hits and no walks, while striking out nine. J.D. Martinez hit a solo home run and Rafael Devers hit a three run shot as the Red Sox finished off the series in five games.
Nathan Eovaldi pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless relief. Craig Kimbrel pitched a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts to lock down the pennant.
Jackie Bradley JR earned the ALCS MVP. Bradley hit two homers and had nine RBI. The Red Sox will host the Dodgers or Brewers in game one of the World Series Tuesday night at Fenway Park.
