The University of Maine men’s basketball team finally returned home for their home opener Wednesday night after a long 0-6 roadtrip to begin the season. Maine (0-7) led only once by two early in this one, as Princeton (3-2) led by 11 at the break and by as many as 19 in the second half to keep the Bears winless in seven tries. Isaiah White and Andrew Fleming each had 19 points in the loss for Maine. Fleming added nine rebounds. Ilija Stojiljkovic added eight points and nine rebounds.
The Tigers, out of the Ivy League, was led by Devin Cannady who had a game high 29 points. Cannady hit 5-8 from the three point arc. Richmond Aririguzoh was the only other double digit scorer for Princeton, adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. The visitors went 11-22 from the arc, and shot nearly 47 percent from the floor overall.
