Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 276 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had four Rowell’s Garage athlete of the week nominations. Peyton Grant powered the Dexter girls basketball team to a win in their season opener. It is the second athlete of the week honor for Grant. She also was named December 17th, 2017.
The Charles Inn female athlete of the week
Peyton Grant- Dexter- basketball- scored 24 points, including 6 three pointers in 38-18 win over Bangor Christian.

Bailey Poore- Gardiner – basketball- recorded 17 points and 11 rebounds in 53-44 win over Medomak Valley.

Samantha Falone- Schenck- basketball- scored 17 points in 45-22 win over PCHS.
