GUILFORD– Avery Herrick filled up the stat sheet to lead the Dexter Tigers girls basketball team to a 49-10 win over PCHS on Saturday afternoon.
Herrick took a 9-2 lead after the first quarter behind six points from Herrick. The Tigers outscored PCHS 15-2 in the second quarter to take a 24-4 halftime lead. Peyton Grant scored 12 of her game high 18 points in the first half, including 12 in the second quarter.
Herrick fell just short of a triple double as she recorded 15 points, 10 steals, and eight rebounds. Grant added four assists, three rebounds, and three steals. Abi Wakefield came off the bench to score five points and pull down four rebounds. Kaylee Deering had four points and three steals. Cheyenne Beem had two points and four steals. Cloe Mountain and Abigail Paige had two points each, while Danielle Cummings made one free throw. Dexter (3-0) will host Central on Monday.
Hope Adkins had four points to lead the Pirates. Elizabeth Kendall recorded two points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Meagan Lemieux and Olivia Riitano had two points each. PCHS (0-4) will travel to Valley on Monday.
