DOVER-FOXCROFT– Makenzie Beaudry recorded 30 points, 15 rebounds, four steals, and two blocks to lead the Foxcroft Academy Ponies to a 60-16 win over Washington Academy on Saturday afternoon.
The Raiders scored the first four points of the game. Foxcroft followed by going on a 13-0 run. Beaudry scored 10 points in the first quarter as the Ponies held a 17-10 advantage after the first eight minutes. Foxcroft had a 30-15 halftime lead.
Foxcroft turned up the defense in the second half, outscoring the Raiders 30-1 in the final 16 minutes of play. Beaudry helped put the game away by putting in 12 third quarter points.
Ainsley Ade added seven points and four steals. Ava Rayfield and Kiya Cook chipped in with six points each. Foxcroft (4-5) will travel to Orono on Wednesday.
Foxcroft out rebounded Washington Academy 40-24. The Ponies shot 9-18 from the free throw line, the Raiders shot 4-22.
Goiuria Cuadra scored a team high seven points for the Raiders. Raeanah Reynolds chipped in with six. Washington Academy (0-9) will travel to Old Town on Wednesday.
