PVHS girls basketball comes from behind in win over Penquis

At Howland, the PVHS Lady Howlers picked up their 9th win of the year in a battle with the Patriots of Penquis, 43-41.

The back and forth action came down to the wire with PVHS down two with the ball with about a minute to go after being down by as much as nine in the fourth quarter. Leine Mckenchie’s only three of the game was nothing but net to put the Lady Howlers ahead by one.

That bucket paired with a 10 point 4th quarter from Sophomore, Emily St Cyr propelled the Lady Howlers to the come behind victory.

St Cyr lead PVHS with a career high, 15 points and Laney Harding added 12 points and secen boards. The tough Patriots team were lead by Megan Valvo’s 11 points & Katelyn Bolstridge 10.
