BANGOR, Maine- Hermon built a sizable first half lead on Saturday afternoon, and then cruised to a 58-30 win over Presque Isle in a Maine Principals’ Association Class B quarterfinal boys game at the Cross Insurance Center.

More of the same in the second led by six points from Cody Hawes. The Hawks took their biggest lead to that point when Kent Johnson hit a three pointer with less than 10 seconds left, and then after a steal on the inbounds pass Hawes also drained a three at the halftime buzzer to make it 26-7.

The Hawks exploded in the fourth with 27 points, including an eight point quarter from Joel Bergeron which was exclamated with a fast break dunk, and also six from Garrett Trask as Hermon raced to their 40th consecutive win.
