On Sunday night Lauren Cook from Calais high school was named Eastern Maine Sports girls basketball player of the year. The junior averaged 23 points per game to help the Blue Devils finish the season with a record of 18-2. She also went over 1000 career points midway through this season. Cook got 39% of the vote. Bailey Donovan from Hampden Academy finished with 20%, while Lexi Ireland from Penobscot Valley high school finished with 13%. Full results are below.
