Charlie Spiegel was a Mr. baseball finalist. Spiegel was the class D PVC pitcher and player of the year. Spiegel pitched five shutout innings in the Vikings state championship victory over Central Aroostook. It is the second time in three years that Spiegel has earned the pitching win in a state title game. On Sunday morning, Spiegel was named Lakeshore Eastern Maine Sports high school baseball player of the year.
