Interviews with Bangor Christian junior Kaeden Robert and coach Jason Lewis
GUILFORD– Kaeden Robert and Jalen Reed each recorded a hat trick to lift the Bangor Christian Patriots to a 6-1 win over Piscataquis Community High School (PCHS) on Thursday afternoon.
Robert got things started for the Patriots just 1:59 into the contest on an assist from Brady Reed. Jalen Reed gave Bangor Christian a two goal advantage with 14:23 remaining in the half. Robert made it 3-0 with 6:02 on the clock.

PCHS cut the deficit to 3-1 when Christian Homchuck converted a penalty kick with 21:14 remaining in the second half. Just over five minutes later, 8th grader Jalen Reed got his second goal to get the three goal lead back for the Patriots. Reed and Robert closed out the scoring to seal the third win of the season for Bangor Christian.
Adam Groski had two assists for the Patriots, while Conrad Straubel had one. Micah Robert had eight saves on 15 shots. Bangor Christian (3-2) will host Schenck on Tuesday.
Matt Robinson had six saves on 16 shots for the Pirates. PCHS (1-3) will host Deer Isle-Stonington in their homecoming game on Saturday.
