PITTSFIELD— Owen Williams and Harrison Sites combined for 50 points and 27 rebounds to lead the MCI Huskies to a 75-69 win over Foxcroft in a Class B prelim game on Wednesday night.
The Huskies went on a 6-0 run after Foxcroft scored the first basket. The Ponies regained a lead of 11-8 on a Caleb Crocker three pointer. MCI responded with a 19-2 run that extended into the second quarter. Williams (15) and Sites (14) combined for 29 first half points as the Huskies held a 40-29 halftime advantage.
After the Ponies scored the first basket of the second half, MCI went on an 8-0 run take a commanding 48-31 lead. Foxcroft went on a 13-2 run to end the third quarter and cut the deficit to 55-48 heading into the final quarter.
MCI held a 70-58 lead with 1:50 left in the fourth quarter. Williams headed to the sidelines with cramps and the Ponies took advantage. Foxcroft cut the deficit to 70-67 with 40 seconds remaining. Gavin McArthur scored seven points in the fourth quarter, including making two free throws with 30.2 seconds remaining to get the lead up to 72-67. Crocker made two free throws to cut it to three again at 72-69. Wilson returned and went 3-4 from the free throw line down the stretch to secure the win.

Crocker scored a game high 31 points for the Ponies. Logan Martin added 13 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Lucas Ames had 10 points and six rebounds. Jed Dean chipped in with eight points and four assists. Foxcroft ends the season 5-14.
Williams led the Huskies with 30 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Sites had 20 points and 12 rebounds. McArthur added 12 points. Dominic Wilson recorded 11 points, six rebounds, and three assists. MCI (13-6) will play Washington Academy in a quarterfinal game at the Cross Insurance Center on Friday night at 7.
MCI out-rebounded Foxcroft 50-26. The Huskies shot 14- 23 from the free throw line, while the Ponies shot 17-24.
