BANGOR– At news conferences held in Augusta, Bangor, and Portland today, the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches (MABC) announced the AA/A/B North and South, and C/D North and South player selections and the coaches along with the All-State Academic Teams and the Mr. and Miss Maine Basketball Semifinalist.
All-Star players and All-Star Coaches, members of the All-State Academic Teams, Regional Foul Shooting Champions, Maine McDonald’s Spirit of the game award recipients, MABC contributor award and Media award honorees, as well as the Mr. and Miss Basketball finalists will be honored at an awards banquet held on March 6th at the Anah Shrine Hall in Bangor.
The Mr. and Miss Maine Basketball semifinalists included – Parker DePrey (Caribou), Simon McCormick (Cony), Jackson Curtis (Ellsworth), Henry Westrich (Bangor), Bryce Lausier (Hampden), Isaac Varney (Hermon), Gabrielle Wener (Messalonskee), Katherine Alley (Stearns), and Lexi Ireland (PVHS). Players on the McDonald’s all star team that will participate in games on March 7th at Husson include the following players that are on teams still playing in the Northern Maine tournament- Jaycie Stevens (Gardiner), Alydia Brilliant (Hampden), Paige Plissey (Hermon), Sadie Garling (Waterville), Lauren Cook and Olivia Huckins (Calais), Bre Bradbury (Central Aroostook), Katie Hutchinson (Deer Isle-Stonington), Makaelyn Porter (Southern Aroostook), and Katherine Alley (Stearns). Boys players include – Trevor Pearson (Brewer), Alex Bouchard and Parker DePrey (Caribou), Simon McCormick (Cony), Max Creaser (Edward Little), Jackson Curtis (Ellsworth), Bryce Lausier (Hampden), Brayden Bradbury (Central Aroostook), Haedyn Guenther and Nate Richards (Dexter), Jace Rocheleau and Eden Paradis (Fort Kent), Caden Mattson (George Stevens), Ryan Alley, Kaiden Crowley, and Adam Robinson from Jonesport-Beals.
