NFL releases 2020 schedule, Patriots face toughest slate in the league

The NFL released their full 2020 schedule Thursday, and the New England Patriots are at the forefront of it all as its their first season without coveted quarterback Tom Brady. The time now has come for the post-Brady era and with that comes new uniforms and a new look schedule with Jarrett Stidham at the helm.

With that said lets dive in to the schedule.

The Patriots will kick off the 2020 season against their division rival the Miami Dolphins and their new look team. This game brings the return of former players Kyle Van Noy, Elandon Roberts, and Ted Karras in Miami uniforms. That game will be a 1 pm kick-off on CBS

Week 2: at Seattle- 8:20pm on NBC

Week 3: Las Vegas Raiders- 1pm on CBS

Weel 4: at Kansas City- 4:25pm on CBS- This is not a Mahomes/Brady match up, that comes Week 12 with Tampa Bay vs. Kansas City. But this is an intriguing matchup as the new look Patriots head to Arrowhead against the reigning champs

Week 5: Denver Broncos- 1pm on CBS

Week 6: BYE WEEK

Week 7: San Francisco 49ers- 4:25 on CBS: Ah, Jimmy Garoppolo returning to New England for the first time since the trade. This one will be interesting, especially to see if the 49ers are still in a hangover from their Superbowl loss.

Week 8: at Buffalo Bills- 1pm on CBS

Week 9: at New York Jets- 8:20pm on ESPN

Week 10: vs. Baltimore Ravens- 8:20pm on NBC: Patriots look to stop the speedy Lamar Jackson once again as the Ravens come to Foxboro

Week 11: at Houston Texans- 1pm on CBS

Week 12: vs. Arizona Cardinals- 1pm on FOX

Week 13: at Los Angeles Chargers- 4:25pm on CBS- This is the start of a two game same stadium west coast road trip against a team who also lost their veteran QB in Phillip Rivers, and has a rookie QB in Justin Herbert

Week 14: at Los Angeles Rams- 8:20pm on FOX/NFLN/AMAZON- This is the Patriots Thursday night game and it comes at a great time. Not only do they get to play in the same stadium, they get an extended bye with the game being on a Thursday and having to come back east afterwards.

Week 15: at Miami Dolphins- 1pm on CBS

Week 16: vs. Buffalo Bills- 8:20pm on ESPN

Week 17: vs. New York Jets- 1pm on CBS

 

So there you have it, the 2020 New England Patriots schedule is set. They have the toughest schedule out of all the other 31 teams. Only time will tell how well they play. Tune in September 10th to watch the NFL season kick off between the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans, as the hosts unveil their first championship banner since 1969.
