With the baseball season now scheduled to come back on July 1 with spring training and then July 23 with a season opener, the Boston Red Sox now await their official 60 game schedule.
Major League baseball has said that teams will face their same division opponents 10 times each, and then the corresponding geographical division from the National League for the remaining 20 games which would be four times each. So for Boston that means 10 games each with Tampa Bay, Baltimore, Toronto, and the NY Yankees and then four each with the NY Mets, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Miami, and Washington. The season is slated to officially begin when the Yankees face the defending World Champion Nationals in Washington on Thursday night 7/23 in primetime.
