The Portland Sea Dogs sent out the following release on Tuesday.
Today Minor League Baseball announced that the 2020 Minor League Baseball season has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. While this decision was not unexpected, we are saddened to know we will not be hosting games at Hadlock Field this summer. As an organization we are now shifting our attention to planning and preparing for 2021.
Fans with tickets to games during the 2020 season have two options:
1) Hold onto the tickets and exchange them for any game during the 2021 season. We will need the actual tickets at the time of the exchange so please keep them in a safe place.
2) The second option is a refund. Fans who would like a refund may mail their tickets to the Sea Dogs Ticket Office no later than Friday, August 28, 2020. After August 28th, any ticket not received by our office for a refund may only be used as an exchange for games in 2021.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to being together again at Hadlock Field in 2021.
