In a statement released on Wednesday, University of Southern Maine Director of Athletics Al Bean said that the Huskies would be cancelling all fall sports in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
USM joins Bates, Bowdoin, and Colby on the list of Maine colleges so far that will forgo any fall athletic competition. CMCC has delayed fall sports until after Janaury 1, and it was also announced Wednesday that the Husson University Field Hockey team also has delayed the fall season to possibly be played during the spring semester.
