The long awaited shortened 2020 version of Major League Baseball will begin Thursday night on national TV when the defending world champion Washington Nationals host the New York Yankees at 7 pm on ESPN.
The start of the 60 game regular season continues at 10 pm that evening when the San Francisco Giants visit Mookie Betts and the Los Angeles Dodgers on the same network. The Boston Red Sox begin their 2020 campaign from Fenway Park Friday night at 7:30 when they host the Baltimore Orioles on NESN. Fans can also watch NESN Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 as the Sox gear up for the season by hosting the Toronto Blue Jays in exhibition matchups both nights. Also Friday ESPN has a tripleheader beginning at 4 pm when the Atlanta Braves visit the New York Mets, at 7 pm the Milwaukee Brewers visit the Chicago Cubs, and at 10 when the Los Angeles Angels visit the Oakland Athletics. MLB Network also has two games at 6 pm when the Detroit Tigers visit the Cincinnati Reds, and the Seattle Mariners visit the Houston Astros at 9.
