Cam out Sunday at KC after positive COVID test

New England quaterback Cam Newton will not play Sunday in Kansas City against the Chiefs after testing positive for COVID-19.

Multiple reports from Ian Rappaport, Field Yates, and Adam Schefter Saturday morning confirmed Newton being added to the COVID-19 reserve list. New England is now forced to go with Brian Hoyer under center to face the defending world champions at Arrowhead Stadium if the game does get played this week.

This story is breaking and could be updated as far as the game itself as well. UPDATE 12 p.m. Saturday- The Patriots-Chiefs game is now postponed for Sunday, with a possibility of being played Monday or Tuesday night barring any more positive tests.
