The Houston Astros have become the second team in the history of Major League Baseball to force a winner take all Game 7 after being down 0-3 in a playoff series. Houston did so with a 7-4 win over the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series Friday night at Petco Park in San Diego.
Tampa took an early 1-0 lead, but Houston did most of their damage in a four run fifth inning and eventually pushed the lead to 7-1. The Astros look to equal what the 2004 Boston Red Sox did against the New York Yankees in the ALCS, becoming the first team ever to rally from an 0-3 hole and win a series. Boston went on to win eight straight and sweep St. Louis for their first title in 86 years. First pitch is scheduled for 8:37 p.m. Saturday night with the winner to face either the Atlanta Braves or Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series that begins Tuesday night.
