Deshaun Watson threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another Sunday afternoon, leading the Houston Texans to a 27-20 win over the New England Patriots at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

New England (4-6) was hoping to extend to a three game win streak but couldn’t slow down Watson, who passed for 344 yards hitting 28 out of 37 attempts. He also added six carries and 36 yards and a rushing score, as Houston built a 21-10 halftime lead and held on for their third win (3-7). Watson threw TD passes to Randall Cobb and Keke Coutee. Cam Newton was 26-40 passing for 365 yards and a touchdown pass to Damiere Byrd in the loss. Byrd had six catches for a career high 132 yards. Damien Harris had a touchdown run and 11 rushes for 43 yards, but the Patriots only rushed 83 yards against the leagues worst run defense. Rex Burkhead also left the game for New England with an ACL tear, and will be out the remainder of the season.

Jonathan Jones had five tackles to lead the Patriots defense, while Zach Cunningham and Justin Reid had seven tackles each for the Texans. Reid also added a sack. New England is back at home next Sunday when they host the Arizona Cardinals at 1 p.m.
