DEXTER– Peyton Grant scored 13 of her game high 23 points in the first quarter to lead the Dexter Tigers to a 62-14 win over Greenville (2-2) on Monday evening at Ed Guiski Gymnasium.
The Tigers jumped out to a 21-2 lead after the first eight minutes as four different players scored. Avery Herrick came off the bench to score six points in the second quarter as Dexter outscored Greenville 18-2 to take a 39-4 halftime advantage.
Dexter had 21 assists on 28 field goals. Grant and Cheyenne Beem had seven assists each. The Tigers came into the game averaging 10 steals a game, and they registered 20 steals against the Lakers led by Grant’s five.
Grant made 3 three pointers. Grant was named Our FAMBily restaurant player of the game. Herrick recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Herrick was named Jersey Sub unsung hero of the game
Hannah Dean came off the bench to record nine points, five rebounds, and two steals. Beem added six points, five rebounds, and four steals. Jozlynn Paige had six points and two steals. Jillean Poliquen and Elizabeth Kinney had three and two points respectively. Lily Bagley also had two points. Dexter (5-0) will host Central on Wednesday.
Lila Kronholm had four points and nine rebounds for the Lakers. Lakely St. Jean added four points, three rebounds, and two steals. Alayna McMahon made a three pointer. Lexi Bjork and Maddison Clukey chipped in with two and one points respectively.
