Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. This week we had seven Rowells Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Peyton Grant averaged 31 points in leading Dexter to a pair of wins. Grant joins Kolleen Bouchard (19) (Houlton), Leine McKechnie (13) (PVHS), Lexi Ireland (9) (PVHS), Taylor Schildroth (9) (George Stevens), Bryce Gilbert (9) (PCHS), and Justin Thompson (9) (Schenck) as nine time athlete of the week winners.Female athlete of the week (February 1st-6th)
- Peyton Grant- Dexter- basketball- had 23 points, six assists, and five steals in 63-14 win over Greenville. Had 22 points in 57-27 win over Central. Had 39 points, including 8 three pointers in 65-27 win over MCI.

- Bri Townsend- Nokomis- basketball- had 18 points and nine rebounds in 49-37 win over Foxcroft. Had 16 points and seven rebounds in 51-26 win over Brewer.
