Allison Attea scored a second period powerplay goal that turned into the game winner, as the Holy Cross Crusaders topped the Maine Black Bears 2-1 in Hockey East women’s action at the Hart Center in Worcester, Massachusetts on Friday evening.

Holy Cross (4-14-0, 4-14-0 Hockey East) who is honoring their seniors this weekend with their final home games, fell behind early in the second period after a scoreless first. Daria Tereshkina scored her first of the season at 2:08 to give Maine a 1-0 lead. The Black Bears outshot the Crusaders 42-25 and carried most of the play, but fell short on trying to extend to a three game winning streak.
