Confirmed reports from ESPN analyst Adam Schefter Monday afternoon, says the New England Patriots have signed tight end Jonnu Smith to a four year contract.
The now former Tennessee Titan, played all four of his NFL seasons in Nashville, and will give New England something they’ve missed in that position over the last couple seasons. Smith comes off a 2020 season where he had 41 receptions for 448 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s appeared in 60 games over his career, with 114 catches for 1302 yards and 16 touchdowns. The deal is worth $50 million, with $31.25 million as guaranteed money. The Patriots also have reached terms with now former Miami Dolphins nose tackle Davon Godchaux on a two year deal worth $16 million, with $9 million guaranteed.
