At Brewer on Saturday, the Bangor girls team and MDI boys won a track meet that included seven schools.
PCHS had another good showing competing with Bangor, MDI, Presque Isle, Houlton, Searsport, and Fort Fairfield. Meet highlights for the Pirates include personal bests in the 100m for Kendall Kimball (16.14), Samantha Goodwin (15.47), and Molly Sipple (13.68). Molly placed first overall in the 100m, and qualified for States with that time.
Emma Ardell (Houlton) finished at the top of the girls 100m hurdles. Maya Elkadi (Bangor), Lindsey Himes (Presque Isle), and Callie Tennett (Bangor) rounded out the top four.
The freshman Tennett, finished second in the 100m dash. She was also part of the Rams 4×100 relay team with Naomi Noack, Alyssa Elliot, and Anna Connors that finished first.
Other girls winners include- Sadie Harrow (Bangor) in the 1600m run, Elena Ardell (Houlton) in the 400m, and Emma Ardell in the 300m hurdles.
Bangor took the top three spots (Connors, Elliot, and Megan Caron) in the girls 800m. Sarah Weaver and Gaia Daui from MDI took the top two spots in the 200m dash. Megan Randall, Julia Smallwood, Devon St. Louis, and Connors from Bangor won the 4x400m relay.
Randall, Lillian Rice, and Erin McCarthy took the top three spots for Bangor in the high jump. The Rams continued to dominate in many events as Noack won the long jump and triple jump. Emma McNeil won the Javelin Throw. Camden Lavoie won the Shot Put. Noack won the pole vault. Bella Brown (MDI) was the winner of the Discus throw.
In the boys meet, the MDI relay team of Sam York, Cody Parker, Ponce Saltysiak, and Jon Genrich won the 4×800. Connor Michaud (Presque Isle) won the 110m hurdles. The MDI duo of Miles Burr and Walker St. Germain were the top two in the 100m dash.
Other boys winners include Gordon Doore (Bangor) 1600m run, Ethan Wydysh (Presque Isle) 1600m race walk, Jaron Leach (Presque Isle) 400m dash, Michaud 300m hurdles, Walker St. Germain (MDI) 800m run, Miles Burr (MDI) 200m, Ponce Saltysiak (MDI) 3200 m, Malachi Cummings (Presque Isle) high jump, Henry Lester (MDI) long jump, Michaud- triple jump, Cummings – Javelin throw, Archer Hill (MDI) Discus throw, Maxx Smith (Bangor) shot put, Tyler Reilly (Bangor) Pole Vault.
