Foxcroft won boys and girls track meets on Friday afternoon at Foxcroft Academy. The other schools involved were Greenville, Penquis, and PCHS.
In the girls meet, the Ponies edged out Greenville 45-44. PCHS (32) and Penquis (14) rounded out the scoring.
Kacey Howell (Foxcroft) edged Lindsey Chandler (Greenville) in the 200m dash. The two were reversed in the 100m dash with Chandler winning and Howell runner up. Anna Raynes (Foxcroft) won the 800m run with Chandler runner up. Chandler was also the winner of the Long Jump. Jessica Cobb (Greenville) was the winner of the 100m and 300m hurdles. The Foxcroft relay team of Grace Carlson, Emma Ladd, Cadence Herrick, and Howell won the 4x100m.
PCHS had another solid meet. Samantha Goodwin took third in the 200m with 32.35. Molly sipple placed 1st in the 400m with 1:09.04. In the girls shotput, Max Richards took 1st with a PR of 24-04.50, and Shanaia Milano took second with a PR of 20-8.00. In javelin, Kendall Kimball took first with a PR of 81-10, Goodwin took second with a PR of 76-01 and Molly Sipple took 3rd with a throw of 74-05. Kimball throw was enough to qualify her provisionally for States, while Goodwin and Sipple both qualified for PVCs.
On the boys side, the Ponies won with a score of 134. Greenville (13), Penquis (10), and PCHS (8) rounded out the scoring.
The Ponies won all 12 events in the boys meet. Logan Hinson won the 800m and 1600m run. Joseph Nelson (Foxcroft) finished runner up in both events. Jesse Drury won the 100m dash, Pole Vault, and Long Jump. Kensley Marsters was the Shot Put and Javelin Throw winner. Marsters was runner up in the 100m.
Other winners include- Bodie Clark- 200m, Zachary Peirce- 400m, Aiden Curry- 110m hurdles- Jacob Reed, Triple Jump- Jackson Smith- High Jump. The Ponies team of Smith, Clarke, Marsters, and Drury won the 4x100m relay.
PCHS had a good showing with Alex Shedd finishing third in the 400m with a time of 1:15.03. Ty Massie took fourth in shotput with a PR throw of 32-07.50. He also placed third in javelin with a throw of 107-11.
