MADISON— The Foxcroft Ponies jumped out to a 48-0 lead and rolled to a 48-21 win over Madison in high school football action on Friday night.
Austin Seavey threw for three touchdowns, including two in the first five minutes of the contest to set the tone. Jesse Drury also scored from eight yards as the Ponies held a 21-0 lead after the first quarter.
Foxcroft also started quick in the second quarter. Gage Beaudry ran in from 10 yards just 20 seconds into the quarter. Seavey connected with Caden Crocker for a 11 yard touchdown with 7:57 left in the half. The Ponies held a 41-0 halftime lead and extended it with a Beaudry 17 yard score late in the third quarter.
The Bulldogs scored all 21 of their points in the final quarter. Seavey threw for 232 yards on 10-16 passing with his three scores and one interception. Gideon Topolski had 86 yards receiving, Crocker 57 yards and two scores, Cameron Chase had 38 yards on two catches, including one touchdown. Drury led the rushing attack with 49 yards, Beaudry ran for 38 yards. Beaudry led the defense with five tackles. Topolski, Anthony Smith, and Devin Henderson each had four tackles. Kemsley Marsters went 6-6 on extra points Foxcroft (4-0) will travel to Cameron Stadium for a Saturday evening clash with John Bapst on October 9th. Madison (0-3) is scheduled to host Winthrop/Monmouth on October 8th.
