Mac Jones tossed three touchdown passes, and Damien Harris along with Rhamondre Stevenson ran for two each Sunday afternoon as the New England Patriots blew out the Jacksonville Jaguars 50-10 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts to break a two game losing streak.
New England (10-6) picked off Jacksonville rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence three times, including one by J.C. Jackson who now is tied with two others for the most interceptions in NFL history over their first four seasons in the league. Stevenson had 19 carries for 107 yards and two scores, while Harris also added nine attempts attempts 35 yards and also had two touchdowns. Harris has 14 rushing TDs this season, tied for second most in franchise history. Jakobi Myers had a receiving score, and Kristian Wilkerson recently called up from the practice squad had two on the day in his first NFL start. Lawrence did have a TD throw in garbage time late in the game, only his second TD pass against nine interceptions over his last nine starts. Jackson along with Myles Brant and Kyle Dugger had the interceptions of Lawrence, as Jacksonville drops to 2-14 on the season. Meyers led the receiving core in catches with eight for 73 yards, while Kendrick Bourne had five for 76. The Patriots are now 9-0 all-time against the Jaguars at Gillette Stadium, including playoffs. Jones with his first touchdown pass of the afternoon reached 19 on the season, breaking the record set by Tom Brady for a Patriots rookie quarterback.
New England clinched at least a Wild Card spot in the upcoming playoffs when Miami had their seven game win streak snapped in a 34-3 loss at Tennessee. The Patriots will end the regular season with a trip to Miami to battle those Dolphins next Sunday at 1 p.m.
