Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 364 past athlete of the week winners.
This week we had five Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Luna Perry St Peter averaged 26.5 points, 14 rebounds, four steals, and four assists in leading the Deer Isle-Stonington girls basketball team to four wins. It is the second athlete of the week honor for Perry St. Peter who also was named AOW on December 15th.
