For the first time in program history, a player from Husson University has been named the Division III National Player of the Week.
Eagles junior center Bailey Donovan of the women’s basketball team was selected with that honor on Tuesday. With the award, Donovan adds to an already impressive week of awards after winning North Atantic Conference Player of the Week on Monday, New England Women’s Basketball Association’s Player of the Week, and the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week earlier in the day on Tuesday.
Donovan helped fuel the Eagles to a 4-0 record last week, and a current 10 game win streak, averaging 22.3 points per game and 12.8 rebounds per outing during those four victories.
