Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. This week we had seven Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Izzy Allen averaged 23.7 points in leading Central to three wins. It is the seventh athlete of the week honor for Allen. She is only the 10th student/athlete to earn at least seven athlete of the week’s. She joins Kolleen Bouchard (19) (Houlton), Leine McKechnie (13) (PVHS), Peyton Grant (10)(Dexter), Bryce Gilbert (9) (PCHS), Kobe Gilbert (9) (PCHS), Taylor Schildroth (9) (George Stevens), Justin Thompson (9) (Schenck), Karli Theberge-(7) (Hermon), Gage Feeney (7) (Washington Academy).

- Izzy Allen- Central- basketball- had 18 points and 6 rebounds in 47-21 win over Penquis. Recorded 22 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals in 61-24 win over Searsport. Allen also had 31 points and 5 rebounds in 58-22 win over PCHS.

Luna Perry St Peter:- Deer Isle-Stonington- basketball-Recorded 27 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists, 5 blocks and 5 steals in 67-42 win over George Stevens. Recorded 27 points, 12 rebounds, 6 blocks, 3 steals and an assist in 47-39 loss to Machias.
