BANGOR- The top seeded Old Town Coyotes scored the first 10 points and never looked back in a 64-22 victory over Presque Isle in a Class B girls basketball semifinal game played Wednesday afternoon at the Cross Insurance Center.
Sydney Loring scored 17 points in the first half as the Coyotes built the lead up to 30-3 heading into halftime. Old Town had five players that scored at least nine points.
Loring led the way with 21 points and seven rebounds. Saige Evans added nine points and six rebounds. Madelyn Arsenault also had nine points. Lexi Thibodeau and Makayla Emerson added seven points each. Old Town (20-1) will play Hermon in the regional final at 2 PM on Saturday.
Faith Sjoberg led the Wildcats with nine points. Presque Isle ends the season with a record of 14-7. Old Town out rebounded Presque Isle 29-18. Coyotes shot 6-13 from the free throw line, while the Wildcats shot 6-9.
