Ty Giberson had three hits and three RBI to lead Bucksport to a 11-3 win over George Stevens in a high school baseball game played on Monday afternoon.
Bucksport fell behind 3-0 in the first inning as the Bucks gave up their first runs of the season. Bucksport scored a run in the first inning and third inning, then scored four more in the fourth inning to take a lead they wouldn’t give back.
Jack Guty and Kaleb Nightingale had two hits each for the Bucks. Bucksport took advantage of nine Eagles errors to score six unearned runs.
Gavyn Holyoke earned the win on the mound, giving up three runs on six hits with three walks and 10 strikeouts in 5.0 innings. Bucksport (5-0) has now outscored their opponents 51-3.
