The North Atlantic Conference has released their 2022 Baseball and Softball Tournament schedules. The baseball championships are being held by the host SUNY-Cobleskill, while softball will be hosted by Husson University at O’Keefe Field in Bangor. Both tournaments are a double elimination format, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
The NAC alternates year by year East and West with who gets to be the host. This year the top seeded Tigers from SUNY-Cobleskill (20-18) earned that right for baseball out of the West Division. Cobleskill went 11-4 in Division play to get the #2 overall seed, but enter the tourney with a four game losing streak. Husson (21-15) earned the #1 seed and are the hottest team coming in. The Eagles (13-1 East Division) have won 12 straight. Thomas College (15-24) out of Waterville is the #3 seed, while the Roos out of SUNY-Canton (10-29) round out the field. Husson will host the six team softball tournament after posting a 23-9 record (9-1 East Division). SUNY-Cobleskill (14-13, 11-1 West) is the #2 seed, while Cazenovia College (15-9, 4-7) also out of the West round out the top three. The Tigers from Cobleskill have won 10 in a row.
