Cooper Flagg recorded 10 points, 17 rebounds, eight steals, four blocks, and two assists to lead USA to a 79-67 win over Spain in the FIBA U17 World Cup Gold medal game in Spain on Sunday. Flagg was named to the All-Tournament team.
USA outscored Spain 29-13 in the third quarter to rally from a five-point halftime deficit. Flagg played just over 26 minutes, second most on the team. He had a +/- of +14. Jeremy Fears had 17 points and six assists to lead USA. It is the sixth straight gold medal for USA in the U17 World Cup games.
