At Corinth, the Central Red Devils earned a 4-1 win over Lee Academy. Central led at halftime 1-0 on a Jacoby Buzzard goal with 24:16 left in the half on an assist by Ethan Bean.
Lee would even up the game with 34:15 left in the second half on a goal by Kutay Ertuk after winning a 50/50 ball against a Central defender just outside the 18 yard line. Central’s Jakson Pollock would convert on a penalty kick with 22:42 left in the game to give Central the lead for good. Raolin Willis and Jacoby Buzzard would add insurance goals, both assisted by Pollock, in the last ten minutes of the game to seal the win for Central.
For Central (3-3), Nick Masters made 5 saves on 8 shots. For Lee (2-2), Andrew Scott had 12 saves on 21 shots. The Red Devils avenged a 3-1 loss against the Pandas on 9/10.
