The third seeded and undefeated Houlton Shires scored five second half goals and rolled to a 6-1 win over Dexter in a girls soccer Class C quarterfinal match played on Tuesday afternoon.
Maddie Marino, Amelia Callnan, and Mylee Sylvia each scored two goals. Sylvia now has 22 for the season, breaking the school record for goals in a season by a freshman. Gabby Gentle had two assists. Marino and Lydia Byron had one assist each.
Houlton (15-0) will play MCI in a semifinal game this weekend. MCI is also 15-0.
Cally Gudroe scored the goal for the Tigers. Dexter finishes the season with a record of 9-6-1.
