Jason Libby and Colton White combined to score 15 of their teams 18 fourth quarter points on Tuesday, as the Bangor Christian Patriots boys basketball team won a close back and forth game 45-39 over the Jonesport-Beals Royals at Eastern Maine Sports Academy in Veazie.
Bangor Christian (5-1) would be led by Libby who had 15 points, nine of which would come in the final period. Jalen Reed would be the next highest scorer for the Patriots with 14 points, and would lead the team with six rebounds. Conrad Straubel would add a team leading three assists. Damon Beal would be the games high scorer with 25 points in the loss for Jonesport-Beals (2-5). He also had six rebounds and one assist. The Patriots return to action Thursday on the road at Deer Isle-Stonington, while the Royals play Saturday at home against Searsport.
